On 13-14 February, The Training on Ultrasound Diagnosis of Chronic Venous Diseases Successfully Completed
Ultrasound Academy Georgia successfully conducted a two-day practical and theoretical training course on “Ultrasound Diagnosis of Chronic Venous Diseases of the Lower Limbs.”
The training was led by Tatuli Abzianidze, an angiologist and vascular ultrasound specialist currently practicing at the Israeli-Georgian Medical Research Clinic Helsikor.
About the Training
The two-day programme combined structured theoretical learning with intensive hands-on ultrasound practice, providing participants with a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and assessment of chronic venous diseases of the lower extremities.
The training programme covered:
- Detailed ultrasound anatomy of the venous system of the lower extremities
- Pathophysiology of chronic venous diseases
- Duplex ultrasound and Doppler examination protocols
- Assessment of venous reflux and hemodynamic analysis
- Interpretation and discussion of clinical cases
- Hands-on ultrasound scanning and practical skills development
Particular emphasis was placed on evidence-based diagnostic approaches, standardized examination protocols, and accurate interpretation of ultrasound findings. Through practical scanning sessions and clinical case discussions, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their diagnostic skills and apply acquired knowledge in a clinically relevant setting.
Certification and CME Credits
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants received a Continuing Medical Education (CME) certificate accredited by the Ministry of Health, awarding 12 CME credits.
