Ultrasound Academy is a leading academic learning space and training center, the goal of which is to promote postgraduate education, continuous professional development and deepening of modern medical knowledge of specialists in the field of medicine in Georgia.
Ultrasound Academy, in collaboration with specialists in ultrasound diagnostics and other medical fields, implements training courses and short-term trainings for continuous professional development (CPD) on various topics, based on multidisciplinary approaches.
The Academy pays special attention to sharing the experience of leading specialists and scientists in the field, expanding practical and theoretical knowledge, as well as developing professional standards in Georgia. In addition, the Academy actively supports the professional development of residents and offers them trainings, practical courses and educational programs selected according to their specialty.
According to current data, the active professional network of the Academy unites about 800 specialists in the field of medicine throughout Georgia, including: radiologists, ultrasound specialists, cardiologists, doctors of various specialties, heads and managers of clinics.
The Academy actively carries out continuous educational activities and organizes on average about 50 accredited trainings and professional events annually, in which about 800 specialists in the field of medicine participate.
The Ultrasound Academy has signed memorandums of cooperation with Caucasus University and Batumi Avicenna Medical University, which promotes academic cooperation, the development of professional medical education and the expansion of educational opportunities for doctors and residents in Georgia.
Fikria Rekhviashvili is a radiologist and ultrasound diagnostics specialist with more than 25 years of professional experience in clinical practice and diagnostic imaging. She is the Founder of Ultrasound Academy and Chair of the Ultrasound Academy Association.
She currently serves as Head of the Radiology Department at Holomedi Clinic and Head of the Radiology Residency Program at Avicenna Batumi Medical University. Her work combines clinical practice with the training of young physicians, development of educational programmes, and advancement of continuing medical education.
Under her leadership, Ultrasound Academy has developed into a modern educational centre providing accredited training programmes, international masterclasses, professional forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives in Georgia and across the South Caucasus.
Tatia Kapanadze is the Director and Co-Founder of Ultrasound Academy, with experience in healthcare management and the administration of medical education programmes.
She leads the planning and coordination of Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes, professional training, and certification courses, and works closely with government institutions, accreditation bodies, and educational institutions to ensure programme quality and compliance.
Tatia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Caucasus University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health Management. Her work is focused on developing Ultrasound Academy as a modern platform for medical education and professional development.
